We are currently exploring new ways to grow and expand in order to better meet the needs of families in our community!

We are adding a NEW Pre-K 3 day Afternoon Class:

Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 12:45 PM – 3:00 PM

This additional class option would give families more flexibility in their schedules and also create more opportunities for children to learn and grow — all while keeping our class sizes small and personal.

Educating Preschool Children Since 1980!

A group of church members realized that there was a need for a nursery school program in our area.  A governing board consisting of school teachers and retired teachers, all being church members, started Schwarzwald UCC's Weekday Nursery School in 1980.  It's name was later changed to Schwarzwald UCC's Preschool.   The preschool was an outreach of the church supported by the church.   The first year there was one combined class of twelve students, eight 3 year-olds and four 4 year-olds.  There were two teachers and they divided the class for some of the activities.  The second year consisted of two 4 year-old classes with 15 children in each class and one 3 year-old class!  With the construction of new homes in the area it became necessary to add more classes to accommodate new resident children .

We have grown over the years, and now offer classes for two year olds, three year olds and Pre-kindergarten children.

Parents became interested in having social events for families and children, as well as volunteering for preschool events.  Parents On Board was formed. Membership is open to all present and past parents and grandparents. 

We are proud of the accomplishments and longevity of this church supported program and look forward to continued service to the children and families of our community.
